Working Together with Civil Society

In order to ensure an articulate representation of Romania in the world, MFA is open to projects and events organized for promoting foreign policy objectives in cooperation with partners in the civil society, be they non-governmental organizations or representatives of the business environment.

Significant along this line is the partnership concluded at the end of last year with the Romanian-Swiss Multimedia Institute, a competence centre in IT professional training, foreign languages, business courses and web-multimedia services. While implementing a new concept from the Swiss professional high-education, the institute brought to Romania the model of training people in new professions, generated by the development of information technology. This partnership has highlighted  once more the interest MFA attaches to the efficient integration of new communication technologies.

Within two months late last year, this country hosted eight delegations. The programmes for journalists from the USA, Italy, Iraq, austria, Spain, France, Germany and Kazakhstan answered the requests of these journalists and allowed for transmitting messages on Romania’s developments and current opportunities.
