UN Peacekeeping Operations

At 30 June 2017, Romania has deployed 77 uniformed personnel, respectively 40 police officers and 37 military experts in 10 among 15 UN Peacekeeping Operations and one Special Political Mission deployed on four continents (72nd rank by 127 contributor countries).

 

  • United Nations Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) - one military expert;
     
  • United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus (UNFICYP) - four police officers;
     
  • United Nations Stabilization Mission in Democratic Republic of Congo (MONUSCO) - 22 military experts and two police officers;
     
  • United Nations Mission in Liberia (UNMIL) - one police officer;
     
  • United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) - five military experts, seven police officers and two staff officers;
     
  • United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA) - five police officers;
     
  • Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) - seven police officers and one police officer;
     
  • United Nations Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH) - 14 police officers;
     
  • United Nations Military Observer Group in India and Pakistan (UNMOGIP) - two military experts
     
  • United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) - four military experts.
